  7. This is so true! I work for government and I'm in a union. It just bugs me so much that public workers are not held to the same standards as the private sector. You wouldn't believe the lazy coworkers that get paid very well because they have been there for years and they don't have to work. Then some government coworkers work hard and are dedicated but get paid half as much because they have not worked "as long". Pay is not given based on your performance, it's based on how long you have been on the job. It isn't how well you work, it's how long you have been with the union and you are protected so you don't have to perform. "Who cares" the government worker says, we get paid anyway.
"They can't fire us". The public needs to wake up. Pay for top notch quality service and fire the ones that don't do anything but pull a paycheck.

  8. Putrid, disgusting and incomprehensible. The misuse of the trust we have given them to teach our children is sickening. Coaching the chidren in Michigan to chant that "Walker the Governor must go; ho, ho." It is unbelievable and an very unglamorous view of higher learning. swjo

  9. Teacher tenure should be abolished, Supts pay should be reduced by 1/3, all teachers should be required to pay 20% into retirement, 15% into health insurance, eliminate teachers aids. This is for NY State

  10. Should be required at parent teachers meetings, Parent could ask direct questionS to teachers but I can see teachers ducking and the union getting involved. New laws making asking teachers any direct questions will quickly be passed by paid politicos. Connection obvious, UNION- ORGANIZED CRIME- POLITICIANS- KICKBACKS... ALL THE WAY UP TO THE COMMUNITY ORGANIZER. Any wonder SEIU direct ties to ACORN and Obama?

  11. I was transferred to New York. My daughter was 6, first grade. She was tested by a university because she was testing extremely high according to her age (set up by her previous school principal). The teacher in New York did not like my daughters scores for some reason and had her stand in front of the class and berated her. She told her that her test grades were due to where she lived previously.. That really had a bad effect on my daughter.. she didn't want to go to school. We talked to many of the local parents who knew this lady. Many had pulled their kids from her class before school started. We talked to the principal who said he was aware of the problems but he could do nothing because she was tenured. Is this what tenure is for? Why would any decent teacher not fight tenure for someone like that?

  12. Could you guys do a video using the head of the teachers union actually saying that is not about the kids or the schools, it is about the 3.2 million teachers and the hundreds of millions they give. Then he said it is about the POWER.

It is great to see that someone is bringing this to light. Thanks guys, good work

  13. Teachers and their unions would have a better argument if they cleaned up their own people. If they did that, at least there would be more money available for a merit based pay system. I still think collective bargaining for government workers is insane. They 'bargain' with people that they donate money to. The only entities not involved are the ones footing the bill... the taxpayers. They should come to the taxpayers to 'bargain' and show why they deserve to keep their jobs by using the bottom line... the students records. What is unfair about that?

  14. We are supposed to have a taxpayer union.. it is called government. When was the last time they demanded our rights? Until Walker and a few other governors started fighting back, when was the last time our government fought FOR us?We have no choice but to pay our dues (taxes) and are not represented in this dispute.

  15. I'm happy they screwed over the teacher unions in Idaho and Wisconsin. The only bad part is they are getting the children to protest with them.

  16. All unions are today are "labor brokers". They sell the workers to the "evil business owners" at a huge profit to themselves all while convincing the poor slave bastards that they are looking out for the slaves best interests.

A skilled worker is worth something to the company he works for and doesn't need union protection to keep his job... a screw up / screw off needs union protection. Unions were a necessary evil for worker safety before OSHA... now they are just evil.
